On Friday, the active theme continued when Fiona Doyle, an Irish Olympic swimmer visited as part of the Dare to Believe Programme which was launched in February to inspire and motivate young people to live a healthier lifestyle.
Fiona spoke about losing out on a place on the Irish Swimming Teamfor the London Olympics by half a second and how she persevered and overcame that disapppointment by working harder and eventually making the team for the Olympics in Russia in 2016.
Fiona also met Aisling O’Connell whose uncle, Brendan O’Connell, won a gold medal for swimming in the Special Olympics. Aisling is a keen swimmer and came 3rd in Ireland in the Community Games recently. Scroll down for photos…
