NA GAEIL is getting set to celebrate Christmas in style with a huge hamper worth over €500 up for grabs in a raffle at their bingo night next Monday.
The hamper worth €500 contains a huge range of Christmas food, drink, Lidl, Peter Marks, Boots and meat vouchers and the draw for it will be held on December 21.
Tickets for the raffle are on sale from the Na Gaeil bar or at the bingo with €2 for a strip or €5 for five strips.
“We wanted to make it a bumper hamper, just to thank the people who support our bingo every week,” said Na Gaeil Bingo committee member, Niamh Burke.
The Na Gaeil Bingo has been going for five years now and has been gone from strength to strength. It it one of the main fundraising initiatives for Na Gaeil GAA, helping the club enormously with the day to day running of the club grounds in Killeen and its teams.
“The club does depend on the bingo as a fundraiser and it’s run like a well oiled machine,” said Niamh Burke.
The bingo is run every Monday night at the clubhouse, they get the balls rolling at 8:30pm and have on average of between 90 and 100 patrons every week.
“We’re told we have a very friendly bingo and that we make people welcome every week without fail. Patrons are not taken for granted and that they are always met with a smile,” said Niamh.
Every night there are spot prizes through the raffle and a door prize. Cash prizes are €25 a line, €45 a house and the jackpot sheet worth €50 a line and €150 for the jackpot including an accumulator jackpot each week, which starts off at €100 for the house.
