A TRALEE Municipal District Councillor has asked the Council to investigate issues at an estate in Ardfert.
Sinn Fein Cllr. Deirdre Ferris asked that this council inspect the houses in Lathair na hArd Eaglaise in Ardfert for defects reported by tenants to determine what remedial work is required.
Cllr Ferris said this is a relatively new estate and there have been issues since residents moved in. She said some houses have had problems with the sealant at the rear of the build, leading to flooding in the kitchens and tiles falling off.

Cllr Ferris said there were other issues with connection to waste pipes. She said something had to be done and short-term repair jobs were not the solution.
In reply Kerry County Council management said they are aware of a number of maintenance requests in this estate, and these have been logged and will be actioned accordingly further to inspection.
