Eamonn Fitzmaurice will drop in for a chat to The Otherside in Benners Hotel.

A NEW live chat-show event is to take place in Tralee this month and features a diverse line-up from the world of sport, acting and comedy.

Kerry GAA manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice will join Kerry comedian Bernard Casey and actors Daragh O’Malley and Maeve McGrath on the couch for ‘The OtherSide’ in Benners Hotel on Friday, February 17 and admission is free.

Fans of the cult classic ‘Withnail & I’ might recognise Daragh O’Malley from this scene with the titular characters…

The OtherSide is billed as Tralee’s newest live event to take place every three months as a traditional style late-night talk show set in a relaxed setting.

The OtherSide will feature a wide range of guests from actors, musicians and stand-up comedians to political figures, sports people and local legends. It offers a rare opportunity to hear these guests in conversation in a very intimate and relaxed location.

The opening night line-up has something for everyone, with acclaimed actor Daragh O’Malley who has starred in Withnail & I, Sharpe & Brando, Maeve McGrath, actress and director of the Kerry Film Festival and star of the hit film Brooklyn, and rising star on the Irish comedy circuit Bernard Casey.

Also dropping by for a chat about life outside Kerry football will be our own Eamonn Fitzmaurice. Music will be provided by locally based musician Donnacha Toomey, who has released two critically acclaimed albums.

The OtherSide launches on Friday, February 17 at 8.30pm in Benners Hotel. Admission is free and all are welcome to come along and sample the intimate chat show style event, with great guests in this relaxed and informal setting.
