A sound bath is an immersive auditory experience, where healing vibrations from a variety of instruments wash over participants, creating a deeply relaxing and meditative state.

This is followed by a rejuvenating Qi Gong session, a traditional Chinese practice aimed at promoting the flow of energy through gentle movements and deep breathing.

On Saturday afternoon, the Wellness Zone extends its embrace to children aged six to 12, offering a fun and engaging kids’ yoga session.

Children will learn basic yoga poses, fostering a sense of balance and self-awareness at a young age. Following this, families can partake in a family-friendly Qi Gong session, promoting harmony and vitality for all ages.

To fully enjoy these revitalising experiences, participants are advised to wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Bringing a personal yoga mat and a light blanket is also recommended to enhance the comfort of each session.

The Wellness Zone at Féile Thrá Lí is being organised by whole-health and wellbeing event organiser, Quest and Thrive.

“In an increasingly fast-paced world, it is crucial to provide people with opportunities for relaxation and self-care. The Wellness Zone offers a respite from the excitement and stress of everyday life, inviting participants to connect with themselves and find balance in an oasis of calm in Tralee town,” said company founder Bridget McAuliffe.

“The fact that all the events are free offers a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to get a taste of activities that are proven to be good for all aspects of your health and wellbeing. We do, however, recommend that you pre-book to secure your space as some are limited. All bookings can be made at https://questandthrive.ie/,” she added.

“Féile Thrá Lí is a celebration of arts, culture and creativity that brings together artists, performers and enthusiasts from all walks of life. The introduction of the Wellness Zone represents a commitment to holistic well-being and self-care within the festival experience and Quest and Thrive is delighted to be able to bring this experience to Kerry’s capital town,” Bridget said.
