IT was a lovely, mild day in Tralee today and the crowds came out to enjoy the final day of Féile Thrá Lí.
A big attraction every year is the dog show and there were two held in the Town Park this time — one on Monday and another today.
There was a big entry too, with dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes vying to win in a plethora of categories. The big prize is Best In Show and this year a very special lady, who was involved in the dog shows over the years, was remembered in the form of the trophy for that category.

Ciss O’Connor from Kerins Park passed away less than a month ago and Bryan Carr of Féile Thrá Lí contacted her family to ask would it be okay to name the Best In Show Cups from both days in her honour.
Her daughter Anne O’Connor Lynch was there to present the Cups to the winners and was delighted that her mom was remembered.
“She loved it. It’s a fabulous touch by the organisers. She used to show her dogs at Crufts and all over the country,” said Anne.
Prizes were given out in a wide variety of categories including Best Smile, Best Dressed, Rescue Dog, Small Dog, Large Dog and many more. Well done to all on organising the event. Scroll down for photos…
