Foodies To Flock To See Michelin Star Chefs In Action At Festival

EIGHT of Ireland’s finest Michelin Star and celebrity chefs will be cooking up a storm in the Food & Wine Magazine Village hosted by Norah Casey, at the inaugural boutique festival at Killarney House Demesne on June 27 and 28.

Derry Clarke (L’Ecrivain, Dublin), Ross Lewis (Chapter One, Dublin) and JP McMahon (EatGalway Restaurant Group, which comprises Aniar, Cava Boedga, and Eat Gastropub), will join Clodagh McKenna (Clodagh’s Kitchen, Dublin), Sunil Ghai  (Ananda Restaurant), Noel Enright (The Lake Hotel, Killarney); Paul Treyvaud (Treyvauds, Killarney); Catherine Fulvio (Ballyknocken House) in the Chef’s Kitchen where they will show food lovers how to prepare delicious mouth-watering dishes using locally produced, seasonal ingredients from Kerry .

The Killarney Festival Food Village will be an extensive showcase of wine and food not only for the region of Kerry but for Ireland as a whole.

It will feature well established restaurants from around Ireland, local artisan food producers including Ring of Kerry Lamb, Ballinskelligs Duck, Hulberts Fine Food, Lizzy’s Little Kitchen, O’Brien’s Farmhouse Cheese, Sasta Sausages, Killarney Toffee,  Valentia Island Dairy and Ballyhar Farm Produce including organic Kerry Rose Veal & Cow’s Milk.

The Food & Wine Village will also feature a Wine Bar, Craft Beer Lounge and Cocktail Bar.  A variety of food vendors offering cuisine from around the world will also be on site to cater for up to 20,000 festival goers over the weekend.

Norah Casey said “As a lover of both great food and music, I’m very excited about the Killarney Festival of Music & Food as it has both in abundance.    I’m really looking forward to seeing some of Ireland’s gastronomic gurus create delicious dishes using the wonderful variety of produce that Kerry has to offer.”

The festival, which is sure to a fantastic weekend, will also feature a host of the world’s best known musicians with Duran Duran, Burt Bacharach and ‘The Proclaimers’ all set to the play over the weekend.

· Saturday or Sunday Day Tickets €76 (including booking fee)
· 2 Day Weekend Tickets €142 (including booking fee)
· Children 12 years or younger go free – up to two children per paying adult when booked in advance

TEEN – 13 TO 17 Years of Age
· Saturday or Sunday Day Tickets €41 (including booking fee)
· Weekend Tickets €71 (including booking fee)
· Teen tickets apply to children 13-16 years – they must be accompanied by a paying adult
· ID will be requested at entry point to verify age.
