GARDAI are advising the public and businesses to be vigilant as there are counterfeit €10 and €20 notes in circulation.
For the public, if you receive change of €10 and €20, the advice is the check the notes. Businesses can check notes with the special markers.
The paper is noticeably of poor quality and obviously fake so if you come across the notes from a business, inform them immediately and contact the gardaí.
