YOU wouldn’t think it now, but the weather is set to improve dramatically over the next week.
While the rain is pelting down today, we’re going to see dry weather from Thursday afternoon onwards and, according to Met Eireann, it’s set to last until the early days of next week.
Now there might be the odd rogue shower on Saturday morning, but otherwise people will be able to enjoy all the free street entertainment from Friday onwards without fear of getting a soaking.

Tomorrow will see cloudy but dry conditions and mild temperatures. Friday will see temperatures rise further to near 20 degrees with some sunny spells.
Saturday may see a few showers early on, but the afternoon will brighten up with highs in the high teens/early 20s. Sunday will be the best day of the weekend with sunny spells and similar temperatures.
Early indications are that the fine, dry weather will continue into Monday and Tuesday. So make those plans for the festival, because we’re in for a great weekend.
