THE fruits of the hard work of the Committee of the University Hospital Kerry and Social Club were presented to the Chemotherapy Day Unit on Friday afternoon.

Their ‘Sickly Come Dancing’ event held back in February when 12 couples took to the floor of the Ballygarry House Hotel to raise funds for the unit and it eventually realised €67,737.06.

They were watched by around 700 of their colleagues and family members as tickets were sold in-house at the hospital.

The committee thanked choreographer Honor Hurley for all her work, the sponsors for their generosity and Padraig McGillycuddy and the staff of the Ballygarry House Hotel.
