THE Inspired group are hosting a tea day in aid of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, this Thursday May 2.
Participants at Inspired will host the fundraiser from 10.30am – 12.30pm and all are welcome to join them for a cuppa and a chat.
This is the second year that Inspired will host an event as part of the nationwide Tea Day. Last year was a huge success they are looking forward to hosting their friends and neighbours again and welcoming new faces to the centre at 5 Friary Lane in Tralee.
Inspired is a community organisation based in Tralee that works with young adults with intellectual disabilities.
They focus on education, employment and community participation. They believe the visible and valuable contributions that people with intellectual disabilities make to the community are important in reducing the stigma that persists around disability.
Meaningful participation in the community also gives participants a sense of purpose and self-worth. To that end, a major part of their work is helping in the local community and participants at Inspired often fundraise for other charities. Find out more about Inspired http://inspired.ie/about/
