Kerins O’Rahillys Game To Be The Opener In Championship Double-Header

KERINS O’Rahillys Garveys Supervalu Kerry SFC semi-final against South Kerry in Fitzgerald Stadium will be the opening game of a double header on Saturday, October 7.

It will have a 3pm throw-in and will be followed by Dr Crokes v West Kerry at 4.45pm. The county final will this year be held in Tralee on October 22.

The result of the Strand Road club’s game could have a bearing on Na Gaeil should they win their Junior Premier Championship semi-final against Firies in Castleisland this Saturday (5pm).

Dromid Pearses are already in the final of that competition, so if South Kerry are defeated in the senior semi-final, the Junior Premier Final  will form the curtain-raiser to the Senior County championship final in Austin Stack Park on Sunday, October 22 at 1pm (senior final at 3pm).

If South Kerry beat Kerins O’Rahillys then the Junior Premier Championship final will be played in Killorglin on Saturday, October 28 at 4pm.

Meanwhile, Tralee area teams will be involved in the Keanes Supervalu Killorglin Minor Football Championship Final between East Kerry and St Brendans at 4pm on Saturday, October 14 in Austin Stack Park.

The Garveys Supervalu Senior Hurling Championship Final between Ballyduff and Lixnaw will be on Sunday October 8 in Austin Stack Park at 3pm, preceded by the Keanes Supervalu Killorglin Minor Hurling Championship Final will be the curtain-raiser at 1pm.
