The Irish National Masters Competition

The national Masters competition took place in Baldoyle, Dublin this past weekend. Many Kerry players travelled up and played in this big competition. Not only did they compete but they came home with some great results and some silverware also!

Sinead Galvin and Miriam Rohan, runners up in ladies doubles.

Sinead Galvin from Killarney made it 3 finals from 3 after winning the O50s ladies singles, getting to the final of the O50s ladies doubles with her partner Miriam Rohan from Castleisland they played a very close final but unfortunately came out the wrong end on this occasion.

Tom Bourke also had a brilliant weekend, winning the mens singles and getting to the final of the O45 mixed doubles with Sinead.  Unfortunately at 21.20 in the 3rd set of the final Tom got injured which meant they had to retire from play. Not a great way to end a brilliant for all 3 players.

U13 and U17 Indiviual Munster Championships.

The u13 and u17 munster championships took place in MTU Tralee on Sunday. Players travelled from all over Munster to play in the competition and some of our own young Kerry players managed to do very well on the day.
