Results of the Divisions 1, 3 & 5 Singles Championship held in the Killarney Sports & Leisure Club on the 27th March 2022

New to Kerry Badminton Vivien Jennings Trace from Tralee took on Edel Kenny from Kingdom Castleisland in the Division 1 Ladies Final with Edel taking the Cup beating Vivien 21/11 21/14

Fergal Hannon Listowel and Donie Enright Moyvane vied for the Division 1 Mens Title with Fergal winning the first set 21/9, Donie put on a great battle in the second set but Fergal finally overcame him, beating him 21/18

Killarney’s Jeab Workman made it to the Division 3 Ladies Final up against Moyvane’s Bridget McCarthy.  A great battle ensued and Bridget came out the victor beating Jeab 21/18 26/24

In the Division 3 Mens Final we had Micheal Collins from Moyvane and Paul Hayes from Listowel.

In the first set Micheal beat Paul easily 21/7 but as the saying goes, Never Give Up, Paul came back to beat Micheal 21/17 in the second set and also took the third set 21/13

The division 5 ladies saw Molly O’Donoghue from Killarney and Cathy O’Shea from Listowel contest the final with Molly beating Cathy 21/16 21/16

Match of the Day goes to Division 5 Men where Kyle Reidy Ballyheigue, fresh from his win last week, took on Michael O’Shea from Kingdom Castleisland.

Michael took the first set beatng Kyle 21/8 but Kyle settled down and went on to the win the final in a tough 3 setter, beating Michael 21/18 21/1
