GARDAI are asking elderly people to be extra vigilant after an attempt was made to con a woman out of money in Tralee recently.
On Friday, October 4, at around 3pm, a young male arrived at and entered the house of an elderly woman in Caherslee.
He said he was a builder and was doing a valuation on work to be carried out on the house. Thankfully, no money was handed over to the bogus caller.
Gardaí are asking people not let these people into your home and if suspicion is aroused to contact gardaí immediately.
