KERINS O’RAHILLY’S are facing a race against time to get five of their regular starters fit ahead of their championship quarter final against Legion this Sunday.

David Moran (hamstring), Barry John Keane (ankle), Jack Savage (hamstring), Shane Brosnan (thumb), are players Strand Road are sweating on, while Giles O’Grady (back) is highly unlikely to feature.

This will be a third week in a row of championship action for the blues and the injuries are beginning to mount.

“We’re just managing the situation,” said Kerins O’Rahilly’s manager, Barry O’Shea.

“Barry John (Keane) and David (Moran) aren’t able to train. They’re just trying to manage the injuries, so hopefully we can keep them going. Jack Savage has an injury and it’s the same scenario with Shane Brosnan,” said O’Shea

“It’s tough, the players don’t get any chance to recover, they’re not professionals so they have to go to work during the week it’s difficult. But look, we can’t complain. If we lost two weeks ago we’d be more disappointed, so we’ll be hoping to have this problem again next week,” he said.
