Na Gaeil U12 , U14 and U16 teams at their Awards Night in the Clubhouse on Friday.

Awards Night    U12, U14 and U16 Awards Night was held in Na Gaeil on Friday Night where all the players were presented with the medals they won during the year and the huge array of trophies  won in the various competitions were on display.

It was a tremendously successful year for these teams and the night of celebration was thoroughly enjoyed by the players, their parents and mentors.

AGM    Na Gaeil AGM will take place in the clubhouse on Saturday December 9th at 8pm. All are welcome to attend.

Scór na nÓg     Best of luck to Na Gaeil’s Dearbhla Quirke in recitation and to the Léiriú Group who are competing in the Munster Semi Final of Scór na nÓg in Ovens in Co. Cork on Sunday.

Bumper Christmas Raffle    Our Bumper Christmas Raffle will be launched at this Monday night’s Bingo November 27th.  1st prize: A Walker 32” TV. 2nd prize: €100 cash prize. 3rd prize: A Dolce Gusto coffee maker with Americano pods. Tickets are €2 each or 5 for €5 and are available in the clubhouse. Please write your full name and contact number on ticket stubs. Christmas Cheer       On Sunday 17th December we are hosting a evening of Christmas Cheer for one and all …! From Colouring Competions, a visit from the big man Santa himself to Mulled Wine, Mince Pies and lots of Christmas Fare  in between …. keep the date free .. AND watch this space for further updates ……. Ho Ho Ho …!!!

Clothes Collection    There is now a Clothes Collection Bin situated in Na Gaeil car park. If anyone has bags of old clothes to dispose of please drop them in the bin. If the bin is full they can be dropped into the clubhouse. It would be much appreciated.

Sympathy   We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family of Angela Weir from Kilflynn who passed away recently. Angela was well known in Na Gaeil  as she always played cards in the clubhouse on Wednesday nights. She will be sadly missed by all her friends there. May she rest in peace. We also extend our deepest sympathy to Jackie Carlos and her family on the death of her brother Charles Geary in Cobh, Co. Cork recently. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Na Gaeil Cycling Club    Na Gaeil Cycling Club winter schedule: Saturday mornings at 10am from the clubhouse. ALL ARE WELCOME, high vis essential.

Fir Na Gaeil     Light Football Training for Men who have retired from playing football and for those that have not played and would like to try it out. Very little skill is required. This is a great way to keep fit with light training, ball games and a bit of a laugh. Contact Eddie at 0876791460 for more info. Indoor Core Training on Mondays from 7.00 to 8.00 in the gym and Friday nights from 7.30 to 8.30pm in the I.T.

Mná Na Gaeil     We are a Gaelic for Mothers and Others team who come together and do a bit of exercise, football training and socialising. Anyone who would like to join are most welcome, No skills are required, just a good attitude and a sense for fun. We are now doing indoor Core work for the winter on Wednesday and Sunday evenings.  Contact Eddie at 0876791460 for more info.

Lotto   The draw for the jackpot of €4,900 took place on Tuesday evening last. Numbers drawn were 6, 14, 20, 21. There was no winner. €50 winners were Trina Hussey, C/O Hussey’s Shop and Gene & Madeline Kelly, Lios Dara. €25 winners were John Carroll, Oakview, Craig Henry, C/O Na Gaeil, Myra Daly, Derrylea and Michael Culloty, Alderwood Road.. Next week’s lotto is worth €5,000. All are welcome for the draw in the club each Tuesday night at 10.30pm.

Bingo    Bingo is on every Monday night at 8.30pm sharp. We have prize money of over €1,000 guaranteed every week with a mini jackpot that increases fortnightly when not won.  A door prize and a half-time raffle with lovely prizes will also take place every week. A bus service is available at 087 2817577.

You can ring this number for pick up and drop off.  100% of the funds raised go back directly into the club. The bingo is run on a total voluntary basis.  A huge thank you to all the parents who offer their time to run this vital fundraiser for the club.  If anyone wants to donate a spot prize for our weekly bingo raffle, please leave it at use and mark it “Bingo”. Thanks to all our patrons who support this event on a weekly basis.

Cards   A card game is held every Wednesday night in the clubhouse. This is a very sociable occasion where you meet your friends for a great night’s entertainment and relaxation.  Everyone from novice to senior will enjoy a relaxing game of 45.
