Juvenile: Our juvenile season is now up and running with all teams back doing light training and games. Watch these notes for reports etc. and make sure that mentors/coaches have parents’/guardians’ phone numbers for texts to keep families informed of times and venues etc..

We hope that everyone will enjoy the year and have successes like last year. Parents can be assured that all our coaches are gárda vetted and have their appropriate coaching badges. Remember that Na Gaeil is Juvenile Club of the Year

Scór: A big thank you to all who supported our quiz last Friday evening. This was to help support our young Lèiriú thespians who are heading to Sligo to represent Na Gaeil Tralee /St Brendan’s Board, Kerry and Munster in the All-Ireland Scór Na nÓg Final on Saturday 17th February. We hope that you all enjoyed the evening.

Senior: Town Board league played last weekend Austin Stacks 2 – 13 Na Gaeil 2 – 06. We are away to Ballymac this Sunday, 11th,  at 12 30pm.

Minor: Our Minors started their town league campaign, Sunday last, with a win oyer Mitchells on a score line of Na Gaeil 5-11 Mitchells 1-9.

It was great game of football and great to have the first game of the season played. Jack Sheehan opened the scoring with a point quickly followed by a goal by Dan Goggin.Darragh.  Reen and Dan Goggin provided all our scores for the rest of the first half which finished 2-5 to 1-4 in favour of Na Gaeil.

We played great team football especially in defence where Adam Burke gave a huge display. Our younger players really came good with good defensive work from Jimi O’Suileabhain,  Liam Kingston and Enda O’Connor helped by our older boys Ruari O’Sullivan and Rory Murphy who worked tirelessly for the whole game.

Jack Rogers in Goal pulled off some great saves and was very unlucky to concede a penalty in the second half. Aaron Dewey and Fergal Barry controlled the middle third with Fergal making some blistering runs and contributing two points in the second half.

Darragh Reen, Dan Goggin and Liam Rice were unstoppable in the half forward line with Darragh adding another goal in this half. Our full forward line of Matthew Burke,  Jack Sheehan,  Jamie Fitzgerald and Graham Sheehy also contributed 1 – 04 in the second half.

Well done to all involved. Next game away to Austin Stacks at 3 00pm on Sunday next 11th
