December Executive Meeting: On Thursday last we had our monthly executive meeting. We were given a presentation by the Chair of a development committee, Jerry Clifford, which had been meeting over the last few months to plan for the future of Na Gaeil club from an infrastructural point of view. Jerry gave an excellent presentation outlining the work and research the committee had undertaken. This included looking to acquire new land and upgrading our existing facilities. The Committee proposed some works on our existing footprint including upgrading our existing juvenile pitch, an astro pitch, stand, dugouts and other works. The plan will be presented to the members early in the new year but the Executive unanimously voted to accept the development committee recommendations.

Review of our u15 boys year: Our lads had an early start to the year when on Jan 21st they began gym work with Eoin Joy. This continued for 2 months. Our first field session was on Jan 23rd with JJ Canty.

Our first competition was the Comórtas an Earraigh in An Gaeltacht on Feb 13th where we defeated Spa Killarney to win the C final.

We played 5 games in Div 3B of the County League and despite only winning 1 game and drawing 1 game we were competitive in all 5 games. Our results ensured that we played Kilcummin in the Shield semi-final and having won that we unfortunately lost out in the final to St Senans.

We enjoyed a great run in the 2022 Féile competition beating Kilcummin and Annascaul/Lispole on day one, and then Sneem/Derrynane/Tuosist/Templenoe in the semi-final before losing a very close final to Finuge.

Next up in July was the Kellihers Toyota Central Region competition where we played in Division 3. We won 2 games and lost 2. However we were beaten by Ardfert after a replay in the semi-final. We still have the Town Board/St Brendan’s District championship to play.
