There were 4 Na Gaeil girls involved, Avril Doyle, Orla Costello, Orla Buttimer and Sophie Brick. U7 Boys & Girls: Everyone was in high spirits at training yesterday morning after such a great win by Kerry in Croker the previous day. The boys & girls practiced the fist pass and soloing and then finished with a game.

U9 Boys: Our under 9’s hosted Listry yesterday morning. 25 under 9’s really displayed their talents and all their skills from training sessions were on display.

U11 Boys: The under 11 boys had a great training session yesterday morning. The basic skills were practiced in the warm-up before a defending and attacking drill and an intense, fast paced game to finish. Well done boys.

U13B Boys: Our u13B team played Ballymac yesterday but were defeated on a scoreline of Ballymac 3-6, Na Gaeil 2-4.

U15A Boys: Our U15A team were in action last Wednesday in the first round of the Division 1 Central Region against Austin Stacks in Connolly Park. Although we started well in terms of possession we failed to convert our opportunities on the scoreboard and this ultimately came against us in the end.

However Stacks defended really well and forced our lads to kick under pressure. Stacks took their chances better and registered their scores. That said our boys worked really hard and put in a good shift.

Halftime score was 0-7 to 0-2 in favour of Stacks.Second half Stacks kicked three points without reply and went 0-10 to 0-2 clear. Our lads dug deep and replied with 2 goals to make it 2-02 to 0-10.

Unfortunately we couldn’t keep the momentum going and Stacks tacked on more scores and in the end won out on a scoreline of 1-15 to 3-03. Thanks to Stacks for a great sporting game and referee Billy Lacey for a great game also.

U15B Boys: Our under 15B team made the short trip to Ardfert on Sunday July 2nd in a Central Region fixture. We played the first half with a strong breeze and got off to a good start with points from Shane Donovan and Seán Cantwell. After that the game was quite even, both teams trading goals, ours scored by Tom Slattery.

Despite missing a few chances we ended the half four points to the good but ready for a tough second half against our opponents. Instead we took the game by the scruff of the neck. Superb defensive displays by our full back and half back lines provided the springboard for attack after attack which resulted in score after score.

Some of our link up play was excellent with all of our players constantly on the move. Most pleasing of all was our incredible work rate. Our win was hard fought but thoroughly deserved. Well done to all players involved.
