OVER 50 people attended an information event hosted by Tralee Chamber Alliance at The Rose Hotel where a number of new members signed up to join the business representative group.

Tralee Chamber Alliance was established in 2012 and its main aim is to lead growth and foster pride across all sectors of business and throughout the community with a view to positioning Tralee as Ireland’s premier town.

The CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance, Kieran Ruttledge, said: “We are asking more businesses to please give consideration to joining Tralee Chamber Alliance. The stronger we are, the more work we can do for the benefit of the town. Tralee Chamber Alliance is here to support local business, to work on their behalf and to lobby for the good of the town. Tralee Chamber Alliance members are part of a network and it’s not just for the bigger businesses, it’s for all businesses in all sectors with a representative of each sector on the Board. We also have a direct line to the local authority and regularly raise members’ genuine concerns with Kerry County Council in the interest of finding positive solutions for them.”

Guest speakers on the night included Michele King, Marketing Manager at The Rose Hotel, Heather O’Sullivan from John Ross Jewellers and Gerry Enright, Manager of Bank of Ireland Tralee.

They agreed that Tralee Chamber Alliance is the glue that binds local businesses together and a wonderful vehicle to introduce businesses to new customers.

Heather O’Sullivan who represents the Town Centre Retailers on the Board of Tralee Chamber Alliance, said: “It’s important to be a member of Tralee Chamber Alliance because you can be part of the movement that’s going to deliver more jobs to Tralee and more prosperity to Tralee.”

New and existing members were given details of Tralee Chamber Alliance’s annual income and expenditure and the various projects that are undertaken to promote the town on a monthly basis.

“We appreciate and respect the challenges you face on a daily basis and that’s why Tralee Chamber Alliance is here to help you meet other like-minded people, potential customers, clients and business partners,” said Kieran Ruttledge.
