TRALEE woman Norma Foley has been appointed the Minister for Education.
The Fianna Fáil TD is the first Kerry woman to sit at Cabinet.
Tralee Chamber Alliance has welcomed the news. Kevin McCarthy, President of Tralee Chamber said; “As a former Mayor of Tralee and Kerry, it is a momentous boost for the people of Tralee, and we look forward to continuing to work with Mrs. Foley.”

Norma Foley was a member of Kerry County Council from 2004 to this year when she was elected to the Dáil. She is a former Mayor of Tralee and Mayor of Kerry.
