EIGHT-time All-Ireland senior medal winner, Denis ‘Ogie’ Moran will be the next Kerry legend to feature in the long running TG4 GAA documentary series, Laochra Gael.

Ogie’s episode will be aired on March 31 with a repeat viewing on April 5.

The new series begins tonight at 8pm with Mayo’s Liam McHale being the first of the former player’s to be profiled.

Other former Kerry greats who have featured on the show are Páidí Ó Sé, Mick O’Dwyer, Pat Spillane, Eoin ‘Bomber’ Liston, Jack O’Shea and Mikey Sheehy.

Ogie played during Kerry’s ‘Golden Years’ from 1975 to 1987. In his years in green and gold he amassed 22 senior inter-county medals and one All-Star award. The former Beale player was also a All-Ireland winning captain with Kerry in 1978.

Each of the 10 new programmes in the new season of Laochra Gael contains an extended interview with the subject, archive footage of his/her finest hour on the pitch and an assessment from friends, rivals and team-mates.
