KERRY’S greatest GAA stars felt the pain on Saturday night as they had their legs waxed for a great cause in the Fels Point Hotel.
Hosted by RTE’s Miriam O’Callaghan, the ‘Kerry GAA Stars Lovely Legs Competition’ was a fantastic occasion attended by over 300 people, who made a great contribution to the Palliative Care Unit at Kerry General Hospital.

There were seven contestants on stage in the competition judged by Kerry native, Katie Hannon of RTE’s Prime Time, Deirdre Walsh of Radio Kerry and Cllr Terry O’Brien.
They were Minister Jimmy Deenihan, Eoin Liston, Ogie Moran, Cormac Coffey, Noel Kennelly, Marc O Sé and Donal Daly.
They were grilled by the glamorous host on their knowledge of all things beauty related and, in some cases, they were scarily well-informed; Jimmy Deenihan was able to tell us there are five Kardashian sisters (but he couldn’t name any of them).
The public voted and in the end Eoin Liston, Marc O Sé and Jimmy Deenihan were chosen to undergo the waxing. However, Jimmy had a previous engagement and had to go, so Ogie Moran stepped in to take his place.
It proved a very entertaining spectacle as the lads experienced the pain many women go through to look their best.
It was a hugely successful night and organiser Andrea O’Donoghue was delighted with the turnout and the support of all present for the cause.
