“I’m absolutely thrilled,” Agne told TraleeToday.ie after winning the prize. “Killarney Races are always dressy and my expectation to win was so little. All my friends came with me to enjoy the day. There was beautiful fashion, it was so well organised and the judges really had a hard job,” said Agne, who wore one of her own headpieces with her stylish outfit.
“The outfit started from my hat and I found it hard to match it until I saw a dress in a vintage shop and made alterations to it,” said Agne, a full time interior designer who has seen her millinery business take off.
The runner up in the fashion competition was Yvonne O’Reilly from Glenbeigh who received a specially commissioned vase.
Sinead Hayes from Cork won a trip to Milan for winning Dawn Milk Most Stylish Hat and Siobhan Wharton O’Sullivan from Killarney was runner-up and also received a specially commissioned vase.
We’ll have loads of style from Ladies Day tomorrow.
