CBS Primary School held their first ever School Fashion show on Thursday night in Ballyroe Heights Hotel, and it surpassed all expectations.
The ballroom was packed to capacity, with almost 400 people in attendance and they were thoroughly entertained from start to finish with a selection of fashion from 16 local stores.
The talent on display was remarkable, with the kids pulling out all the stops on the catwalk.
Teachers, parents and members of the school community all strutted their stuff also on the night and Brian Hurley, of Irish TV fame, gave an impressive modelling performance on the night.
The newly crowned Kerry Rose Julett Culloty, was also in attendance and had the job of drawing the winning ticket for the grand prize on the night.
This was won by Rose Heaslip, who will be treated to a weekend for two at the Castlemartyr Resort in Cork.
The highlight of the night was a well hidden surprise performance from four staff members – Principal Denis Coleman, and teachers Tom Begley, Brendan McMahon and Fred Doherty – who delighted the crowds when they broke in to a well choreographed dance routine on stage.
The night was a tremendous success, and all proceeds will be used towards upgrading IT facilities at the school.
