THERE were standing ovations over a number of performances at Siamsa Tíre this week, as the young cast from Bryan Carr’s School of Performing Arts staged ‘Shrek The Musical Jr’.
The students of the local stage school in Tralee — who are celebrating 15 years in business this year — performed sold-out shows on Thursday and Friday night, as well as special shows for schools over the past few days.
“We added three shows for schools — where over 15 schools attended from as far away as Cork — and they were all amazing,” said Bryan. “We had kids from the age of five to 18 on stage playing lead parts, performing for children their own age.”

After staging ‘The Little Mermaid Jr’ production at Christmas, the stage school started rehearsing for ‘Shrek…’ in early January and the hard work certainly paid off with audiences leaving happy.
