EXCITEMENT was in the air at CBS Primary School on Thursday afternoon when school children took part in the annual Christmas concert.
The audience was treated to a host of festive treats. Classes rehearsed for weeks, and the children eagerly awaiting their moment on stage in front of their families.
Here’s a rundown of what the classes performed…
Junior Infants: ‘Whoops a Daisy Angel’ told the story of a disorganised but lovable angel, who is chosen to show the way to Bethlehem.
Senior Infants: The audience were bombarded with cuteness as the Senior Infants dressed as Santa’s elves performed two songs.
First Class: First Class gave a musical treat, featuring Santa and the reindeer. They also showed impressive rapping skills as they performed ‘The Reindeer Rap’
Second Class: ‘Its a baby’, the story of Jesus’s birth. There were some beautiful songs and some even better dance moves for everyone to clap along to.
Third Class: The two third classes showed impressive swimming skills as they treated everyone to synchronised swimming performance. They finished with a musical treat.
Fourth Class: The Shrinking Santa Suit Santa is preparing for Christmas, however one of the elves decides to play a trick on Santa and switch his suit Mrs Claus eventually figures out what’s going on and presents the facts to Santa. Christmas can now go ahead as planned
Fifth Class got back to basics, with a portrayal of the most magical night of the year from the Shepherds perspective.
Sixth Class rocked the hall with a massive dance treat for the audience choreographed to perfection.
