IF you’re animal lover, your heart will melt when you get a load of the cute photos of rescued pets in the 2016 Animal Help Net Kerry Calendar.

Along with the calendar, the charity has also produced Christmas cards, the proceeds from both going towards Animal Help Net Kerry.

“It’s amazing when you see these 12 animals, where they’ve come from and where they are now,” said Stacey Wallace one of the calendar designers.

Three animal lovers put together the calendar. Tralee woman Catherine Tangney of Lee Photography, gave up her time and took the photos voluntarily.

It was then put together by Wendy O’Connor of Animal Help Net Kerry and Stacey Wallace, whose dog, Ginger, was rescued by the service.

In response, Stacey wanted to give something back to show her appreciation for the tireless work Wendy does.

“Wendy is such a genuine caring person for animals, she is on the other side of the phone 24/7 if anyone ever needs her. She is constantly there for people,” said Stacey.

Stacey’s dog, Ginger is one of the charity’s great success stories having won this year’s ‘The Nose of Tralee’. A national online pet competition where people are asked to vote for their favourite selected animal.

In what is a nice little touch, accompanying the photo of each pet is their story – how they came to be rescued, their subsequent recovery and rehousing.

The calender and Christmas cards are available from ‘Animal Help Net Kerry’ Facebook page HERE.

They can also be picked up at Wadding Butchers, Lee’s Pharmacy, Leeside Veterinary and Eugene McGrath’s Veterinary. Because the calendar and postcards have just been released, they are expected to go on sale in much more places in the coming weeks.

Alternatively, if you want to pick up one you can contact, Stacey Wallace, by dropping her an email:  stacywallace131@gmail.com

The calendars are €10 each and the cards are in packs of eight and cost €5
