WHILE Scoil Eoin across the road opened last Thursday, there was great excitement on Monday morning when Holy Family welcomed the new arrivals.
“It went very well this morning,” said Principal Ed O’Brien. “They were all very well behaved and settled in very quickly, so were delighted,” he added.
Over in Tralee Educate Together, just eight new arrivals started in the Collis Sandes school.
“There were no tears and very few parents stayed which helped,” said teacher Gail Kelly. “Some of them would have siblings in the school or they would have come in in June before the end of the school year to get used to the surroundings,” she said.
