CBS Primary School was one of the last schools in Tralee to open their doors after the summer holidays and for junior infants it was a special day.
There was as much emotion in the parents as in the children as they dropped off the little ones to begin a new adventure.
There were excited faces when the photographers came around to capture the atmosphere in Ms Éilís O’Driscoll and Ms Laura O’Keeffe’s classes.
The good news is they were all settled in and looked to be having a great time in their new surroundings.
