PHOTOS: Holy Family Pupils Collect Over €800 In ‘Coin Trail’ Fundraiser

THE pupils from Holy Family NS undertook an unusual fundraiser on Thursday to raise funds for additional classroom resources for the 2023/2024 academic year.

They held a ‘coin trail’ event were they laid coins side by side along the pathway around the school, eventually raising around €800.

The event was developed and organised by second class teacher Deirdre Harty with the support of the Parents Council.

In fact, members of the council gave their time (and the use of their knees) on the day to help lay the cash on the path.

Each class came out in their turn to lay the coins they collected. The emphasis of the fundraiser was on participation, learning and fun. Scroll down for photos…
