CULTURE Night 2023 took place last night and Kerry County Council’s Arts Office, supported by the Arts Council and Creative Ireland, helped to co-ordinate over 40 free events around the county.
In Tralee CÉILÍ Afro Dabke Ukraine was delivered by Catherine Young Dance, supported by Mercy Mounthawk with extra bus services provided by Local Link Kerry.
The Island of Geese had Into Light delivered by MTU which consisted of a great array of performances that attracted a good crowd throughout.

Síamsa Tíre ran an eclectic programme of music, song, dance, and circus that enthralled while large crowds visited the Kerry County Museum for tours, workshops, and medieval family fun.
There was also the launch of ‘Brave’ the new music video from the Skills For Life group, a programme for young adults with intellectual disabilities based in MTU.
“Kerry has a wealth of culture and is it a privilege to witness the standard of offerings, across communities on Culture Night,” stated Councillor Jim Finucane, Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council.

Super coverage as always well done. Im sorry that you missed Catherine Young Dance Project in Mounthawk. It was superb! She integrated Irish, Ukrainian, Palestinian and Brazilian dance styles together allowing the local communities to perform, teach and open the dance floor to locals too.
