IT’S set to be a star-studded night of entertainment later this month when well-known faces from the north Kerry sporting fraternity take to the stage for ‘Stars In Their Eyes’.
Taking the format of the well-known ITV show, 10 acts will take on the persona of famous music stars for the fundraising event for Kerry Camogie. It all takes place on Saturday, January 26 at the Ballyroe Heights Hotel.
“It’s a fundraiser to get things up and running for 2019 as there is a lot of expense involved in Kerry camogie,” said one of the organisers, Fiona Flynn. “We’ve ten acts — made up of individuals and groups — and each one will take on the persona of a star to be revealed on the night. It’s going to be a great fun and something very different.”

The acts are drawn from all over north Kerry — Listowel, Causeway, Ballyheigue, Abbeydorney, Kilflynn, the St Senan’s Club and more. There’s also an opening dance from members of Kerry Camogie which is not to be missed.
The acts are being put through their paces by Cassie Leen and Ciara Powell who have come up with something special for each act.
MC for the night is Radio Kerry’s Brendan Fuller while the judges are John Brassil TD, well-known sports journalist Murt Murphy, Caroline McEnery of the HR Suite and Cllr Toireasa Ferris.
