COASTERS out of records, homemade face masks and the Swiss army knife of pencil case were just some of the 32 projects on display at Student Enterprise Awards held in IT Tralee on Friday.
The students from schools all over Kerry showed their projects to the judges in the hope of making it to the national final in May.
There was three categories; junior , intermediate and senior category. As reported yesterday, the winners of the Senior Category was “Circulation Foot Stool” from St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Ballybunion, grandparents.com – childhood memories from grandparents videod by grandchildren by Dylan Mangan from Killorglin Community Schoo was the winner of the Intermediate Category, while Junior level winner was Adele O’Brien from Presentation Secondary School Milltown.

Tralee students were among the winners too with two projects from Mercy Mounthawk successful. JAK Cards from Jenny Fox, Amy O’Mahony and Katie Nagle won the Social Enterprise category while Donagh McMahon won the Best Innovation category for McCopy Kit, a Swiss Army Knife of pencil cases.
Other winners were Tarbert Comprehensive for Best School, Siobhan Brosnan, Aine Sheehan, Roisin Deniel and Eibhlis Brosnan of Presentation Castleisland for Best Stand, Duais Gaeilge went to the Pobal Scoil Corca Dhuibhne team of Ciara Ní Bhric, Sadhbh Ní Bhrosnacháin, Doireann Ní Choileáin and Niamh De Bhrún.
