THERE was an amazing show of support at The Rose Hotel on Saturday afternoon for the Kerry Rose Truck Run in aid of cystic fibrosis charity, TLC4CF.
Truckers Tony Nolan and Matt O’Regan joined forces with families affected by CF to organise the event which saw over 60 trucks take part, each registering for €50, but of course they had to fuel the trucks also, which added to their expense, so great credit is due to them for their efforts.
They travelled in convoy from the grounds adjacent to hotel at about 2pm to travel to Annascaul, Inch, Castlemaine, Milltown, Killarney, Castleisland and back to Tralee.

It was an amazing sight for motorists in the area and over €4,200 was raised for the charity.
Then it was back to The Rose Hotel where many enjoyed a meal and and entertainment, with great spot prizes up for grabs.
A number of the participating trucks were on display for the public the following Sunday morning in the car park adjacent to the hotel.
All proceeds from the event went to TLC4CF, a cystic fibrosis charity which has recently constructed a new CF inpatient and outpatient unit in the University Hospital Limerick for people with cystic fibrosis across Munster.
Tony Nolan, who has raised over €100,000 for local charities through his annual run over the past six years, paid tribute to a number of local businesses he regularly deals with who came forward with sponsorship and spot prizes.
He and the organisers wished to thank the gardaí, motorbike marshals, volunteers, bucket collectors, the Rose Hotel and everyone else who made the day such a success.
