PRESENTATION Secondary School students received certs today to mark their involvement with a children’s liturgy programme.

The Transition Year students were involved as part of the school’s Faith In Action programme co-ordinated through the Religious Education department.

“We had 35 students who participated in the children’s liturgy programme at Our Lady and St Brendan’s Church under the guidance of Fr Patsy Lynch,” said teacher, Norma Foley.

“They made themselves available on a Sunday to help out with the children’s Mass. They showed great commitment and we’re very proud of them. It’s become a link that we have fostered over a number of years between our school and St John’s and this is our first time with St Brendan’s and we look forward to continuing the relationship into the future,” added Ms Foley.

Fr Patsy Lynch was full of praise for the students.; “They’re a fantastic group of students, full of enthusiasm and energy, and they have made a massive contribution to the children’s liturgy programme for 10am Mass on a Sunday. The way they relate to the children is inspirational.”
