Prizes Presented To Winning Entries In St Patrick’s Day Parade

THE St Patrick’s Day Parade saw thousands of people line the streets for the first time in three years and participants made a great effort for the ‘Lets go the Green Way’ theme.

As usual, there were awards to be won for best entries in a number of categories and they were presented outside the Ashe Memorial Hall on Monday evening.

Tralee Chamber Alliance were the sponsors of the awards and its Chief Executive, Colette O’Connor thanked everyone who took part in the parade.

“Thanks to everyone who participated in the parade, it was a great display of community spirit and we can’t wait for next year,” said Colette.

Each winner received a hamper of Easter eggs and the successful entries were…

• Best Themed Entry – Tralee Bay Wetlands
• Best Sports & Recreational Club – The Chain Gang – Tralee Cycling Club
• Best Creative – Cill Dubh Brownies & Guides
• Best Business – Ballygarry Estate – Hotel & Spa
