‘A WORLD of Colour/ An Domhan trí Dhathanna’ is the theme of this year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade which was launched this week.
Tralee Chamber in partnership with Kerry County Council and The Rose Hotel this week unveiled the 2024 theme and promise a fantastic day for all the family in town.
Stephen Stack, President of Tralee Chamber said; “St. Patrick’s Day Parade Tralee has always been a vibrant celebration of our unique community spirit and cultural diversity. This year’s theme, ‘A World of Colour/ An Domhan trí Dhathanna’ encapsulates the essence of what makes our parade so special – the kaleidoscope of colours, cultures and joy that come together to create an unforgettable experience.”

Leading the procession as Grand Marshal is the illustrious St. Brendan’s Basketball Club, celebrating 30 years of excellence and community spirit.
There’s a new route as the parade kicks off at The Rose Hotel on to Mitchels Road, winding through Boherbee and Castle Street before culminating in the vibrant atmosphere of Denny Street.
Joining the celebration are hosts Jamie Flannery, Sean Crowley, and Brian Hurley, who will keep excitement levels soaring throughout the event.

This year’s parade will once again feature the inclusion of the Sensory Street, a dedicated route along Boherbee designed to provide a welcoming and inclusive viewing experience for individuals with autism.
There’ll be street performers who will entertain along the parade route, building excitement and anticipation for the main event.
These talented artists will continue to spread cheer even after the parade concludes, including music by fantastic DJs stationed at two key locations: the viewing stand in Castle Street and the lively hub in Boherbee, enhancing the parade experience with rhythm and energy.
The Mayor of Tralee, Cllr. Terry O’Brien, encouraged everyone to come out and enjoy the St Patrick’s Day Parade and the festivities in the town over the long weekend.
“Tralee’s parade is always a highlight in the calendar and is a great occasion for all ages,” he said. “A great deal of voluntary work goes into planning the parade every year and this year, it is no different. It promises to be a really special occasion and Tralee Municipal District is proud to support this wonderful community event.”
