It’s all part of their efforts to fundraise for a group of over 30 volunteers from the hospital including  doctors, nurses, technicians, physios , radiographers and administrative staff  who are travelling to Ezeidab and Al Damer in Northern Sudan to bring their skills, vital medical equipment and supplies to people of this region.

Is this fund raising for the Muslim majority population of 97% in North Sudan which are imposing Sharia Islamic law where stoning remains a judicial punishment. Between 2009 and 2012, several women were sentenced to death by stoning and crucifixion is a legal punishment too. In 2002, 88 people were sentenced to death for crimes relating to murder, armed robbery, and participating in ethnic clashes, Amnesty International wrote that they could be executed by either hanging or crucifixion.

No fund rising for the newest nation in the world, the Christian majority South Sudan who had to split their country in two to escape Islam!
