“The people I have met, the causes I have helped and the friends I have made, have made this the most rewarding experience you can imagine and I would encourage any girl to get involved,” she said.

Danielle still attends many functions locally as the 2016 Kerry Rose. In mid February, Danielle travelled to Belarus with Adi Roche of Chernobyl Children International and 19 other Roses and Escorts where they gave of their time so willingly and brought essential supplies to help children in orphanages who still suffer as a result of the nuclear disaster in 1986.

The Kerry Rose Centre promises a fantastic experience for all entrants including many social activities in the lead up to a wonderful selection weekend. The selection is open to young ladies aged between 18-27 years old.

The lucky lady, who will be chosen to represent the Kingdom of Kerry for 2017, will attend an all expenses paid week at the Rose of Tralee International Festival and receive the many prizes sponsored by many businesses both in Kerry and beyond.

Also, the Kerry Rose will go straight through to the live TV shows on RTE in August. Anyone who wishes to find out more about entering the Kerry Rose Selection, please call/text 087 147 4100, email kerryrosecentre@gmail.com or find us on Facebook at Kerry Rose Centre.
