THE kids are back to school and the darker evenings are on the way.

If you are thinking of, getting back indoors for fitness classes for the autumn then the Kerry Sports Academy has a wide variety of fitness classes for all ages and fitness levels on offer with over 10 different classes to choose from.

Classes kick off on Monday 11th September with some of the regular classes back in place along with some new exciting class options.

Taking part in a class on a Monday is always a great way to get the week off to a healthy start and there are three great classes to choose from.

On Mondays, there is Mother’s and Others Fitness is an adult only class and takes place at 9.45am this class aims to trim, tone and strengthen the overall body with class activities varying each week.

On Monday, classes include TRX/Kettlebells class at 5.30pm which is a combination of TRX/Kettlebells into one fat burning, body toning class.

Spinning takes place from 7.15pm which is a moderate to high intensity class focusing on endurance, strength, intervals, and recovery.

On Tuesday, there’s a Functional Fitness class at 10.45am which is a low intensity class suitable for beginners which aims to help improve, strength, balance and fitness.

Become fitter, faster and stronger with the H.I.I.T class that takes place at 6.00pm. H.I.I.T stands for high intensity interval training which is designed to lift the heart rate for short bursts throughout the class to increase the fat burn long after you leave the class

On Wednesday, it’s Spinning at 6.15pm followed by Spin and Tone at 7.00pm which combines all of the best elements of our regular Spinning class, but which also works on toning the body by incorporating exercises using dumb bell weights and kettlebells.

On Thursday there is another Functional Fitnessclass at 9.45am, along with a Boxercise class at 5.30pm, this class involves a variety of moves and techniques, such as shadow-boxing, skipping, pad work with a buddy, cardio, conditioning and circuit training exercises. There is also a H.I.I T class taking place at 8.00pm

The Kerry Sports Academy also runs classes in the hydrotherapy pool and have two different options from Hydro4Health (low to moderate intensity) to HydroHIIT (high intensity)
