The building which is home to The Sportsfield Bar sold at auction for €172,500 on Thursday.

THE building which is home to The Sportsfield Bar was one of five Kerry properties which went to auction in Dublin on Thursday.

The April Allsop Auction was held at the RDS in Dublin and while the building was sold for €172,500, owner of The Sportsfield, Damian Roche, has assured his customers – through an story in a local newspaper last week – that he has a long lease on the premises and he will be behind the bar for many years to come.

The building sold for well over its reserve of between €110,000-€130,000. It wasn’t the only Tralee property up for sale at the auction.

The building at Fels Point where an apartment was sold at the Allsop auction for €65,000.

Apartment 8 Fels Point, Block D, Pier Village, Tralee had a reserve not to exceed €65,000 and it fetched that price exactly. The first floor two bedroom apartment extending to approximately 70 sq. m (750 sq. ft) is subject to a tenancy at a current rent of €4,800 per annum.

Auction Ballyheigue

This property (above) at Cliff Road, Ballyheigue, had a reserve not to exceed €70,000, but it went unsold at the auction with the last bid at €55,000. It’s a detached three bedroom house extending to approximately 115 sq. m (1,238 sq. ft). The subject property is situated on Cliff Road which is adjacent to the sea.

Auction Ballybunion

No. 4 The Brambles, Ballybunion (above), had a reserve not to exceed €60,000 but sold above the reserve for €75,000. The semi detached three bedroom house extending to approximately 91 sq. m (978 sq. ft) is subject to a tenancy at a current rent of €4,000 per annum.

 

Auction Cordal

.

Finally, lands at Knockatee, Cordal, Castleisland, with a reserve not to exceed €5,000 went unsold. It consists of two parcels of land extending to approximately 0.28 hectares (0.7 acres) in total. The property is located on an unnamed road approximately 9km east of Castleisland.
