St Brendans Park FC News

(U16) Division 1 ;
Park B 7-2 Asdee Rovers
On a cold wet day the park started of this game with an attack from the off which saw them get a corner . Conor took it with a high ball into the box which John connected with his head into the back of the net in the first minute 1-0 Park. From the restart Park kept control of their lead with some lovely passing along the ground , Aaron runs wide and passes to Conor who puts the ball in the net but is given offside. Straight away they come forward again and with a ball put over the top of the Asdee defence Conor used his pace and with a great shot makes it 2-0. Park are well in control with plenty of attacks but either going wide or the keeper saving them, when Asdee get the ball in midfield and pass to the forward who dances past four players without a tackle being made to put the ball in the net to make it 2-1 half time.
Second half gets under way and the Park know that they can’t afford to take it easy Ben takes a shot it goes through the keepers legs but he stops it going into net. Leon brings the ball forward and passes to Conor who scores his second 3-1. Arron is brought down  in the middle of the field Dean passes to Jamal onto John he passes to Aaron who rounds two defenders and with his left foot puts it in the back of the net 4-1 . Park are well in control now and Aaron passes to Conor , he makes no mistake in putting it in the back of the net to score his hatrick 5-1 . Daniel puts a ball through to Jake but he is offside .Leon gets the ball and slots it through to Jake who  puts it in the net 6-1 . Asdee make a rare attack and with a defensive error they score 6-2 . Time is nearly up when Ben brings a ball in from the wing and Jake scores his second to make it 7-2 final score.
