U5

We had a fun under 5’s session in beautiful conditions on the astroturf in St Pats on Sunday Morning. Great to see more boys and girls joining in as the season progresses.

We practiced lots of movement, ball skills and finished with the option of a little match. Well done on all your hard work and thanks to lots of our senior players for joining in as mentors today! Well done to our players of the week Harry and Archie.

U7

The U7 mixed team had great fun on Sunday morning in Camp when they played some fun Go Games with Annascaul. We had excellent numbers 23 in total togged out for St Pats!

The skills on show were excellent and It’s great to see all the practice coming together. Well done to all the kids who took part. There might be another game next Sunday, to be confirmed!

U8/U10 Girls

We had a few older U8’s training with us on Sunday Morning, as the younger Girls were playing in the Go Games in Camp. They were a great addition to the U10’s, whilst in turn gaining some experience for the U8’s!

We had a great session overall and look forward to our next game against John Mitchels, details to be confirmed. Congratulations to our players of the week from both teams, both hugely deserved for their endeavour and hard work!

U9

Training resumed on Sunday morning after a break for last Sunday’s Dingle Way Challenge. The boys put in a great session where they had a relay race and practiced their kicking technique, both distance and accuracy.

They finished the session with a competitive game. It’s great to see the skills improving. Keep practicing at home.

U11

Annascaul visited Blennerville on Thursday last as the U11 County League Go Games continued.

The two games had plenty of scoring and great individual battles, Jace, Rylan, Noah, Cillian, and Cian were just a few of the outstanding performers. Thanks to Jake, Ben, Jack, and Dylan P who all helped make up numbers for Annascaul.

Sunday training was a slog in the heat and humidity, and everyone had worked up a sweat when we finished. There was great competitiveness in our skills drills and the training match was a real test of endurance by the end.

Darragh S and both Noah’s took some great scores while Jack, James and Bruce made some excellent high catches, it was good to see very well worked scores with lots of movement and a variety of passing to move the ball up the field.

Our next game is away to Beale (Ballybunion) on Thursday 15th June. Players to gather by 6:30pm at Beale’s pitch for a 7pm throw-in.

U12 Girls

The U12 Girls are away to Inbhear Sceine Gaels B team next Thursday evening at 7pm in the first round of the County League. Training continues Monday evening from 5. 30 to 6.30. It’s important we have full attendance at training before the game Thursday.

U13

Our U13’s travelled to Annascaul this evening to take on Castlegregory in the Lee Strand U13 County League D12 final. The game was played in glorious conditions with Annascaul having the pitch in great shape for the game.

Castlegregory got the better of the opening exchanges, but St Pats rallied and got an early goal from Noah Flynn to settle the nerves.

Charlie Sharp then got another goal from close range to extend St Pats lead, but Castle fought right back with a goal of their own just before half time to leave a single score between the teams at the interval.

St Pats introduced Thomas Colivet at half time followed by Hugh Costello, Sam Smith, and Dee Hanly later in the second half and all four subs had an impact when introduced.

The game was very close at the end of the third quarter after Castlegregory cancelled out an earlier goal from Stephen Enright with a well taken goal of their own.

This spurred our lads into action, and they took control of the last quarter to run out worthy winners, with the industrious Darragh Flahive adding our fourth and final goal.

The shield was presented to our winning captain James Daly by Kerry Coiste na nÓg Assistant Secretary Mags Evans. It was a great win for our lads which they deserve after their efforts in training and games so far this season.

Castlegregory also deserve huge credit as they were well in the game until the final quarter with a very young team.

Team: Gearóid Hingston, Paddy Flynn, Eddie Hayes, Jake Kelly, James Daly (C), Rian Flynn, Aidan Berry, Stephen Enright, Callum Rice, Tommy Costello, Darragh Flahive, Luke O’Sullivan, Noah Flynn, Charlie Sharp, and Isaac Price. Subs: Thomas Colivet, Hugh Costello, Dee Hanly and Sam Smith. Missing from today’s squad were Jace and Rylan Flynn and AJ Turner. Training continues this Tuesday and Thursday evening.

U14 Girls

Seniors

Our Round 9 game began with a point from Kieran Hurley in the first few minutes, a quick point replied by the opposition. With the next three points for us coming from Luke Mulligan, David O Callaghan, and Brendan Poff.

It was Sneem/Derrynane’s turn to score three points in quick succession. With a point each from Niall McCarthy and Gary Savage, we seemed in good position, with another point from opposition.

David O Callaghan added two more point of his own to keep us in the lead going into the end of the first half. St Pats 0-08 Sneem/Derrynane 0-05

Sneem/Derrynane opened the scoring with a quick goal and two points for the second half, David O Callaghan, and Kieran Hurley each got a point of their own to draw us. Another Point from Sneem/Derrynane with Eoin Greaney putting the ball over the bar for another point for us.

With another goal and two points scored by opposition we needed scores with a point coming from Patrick Dowling. Last point for Sneem/Derrynane was scored and Patrick Dowling added one last point.

Great determination was shown by the team to keep fighting to the bitter end unfortunately Sneem/Derrynane has the more scoring on the board in the end. St Pats 0-13 Sneem/Derrynane 2-11

St Pats Team: Paudi Bailey, Dylan Griffin, Niall McCarthy, Conor Moore, Luke Mulligan, Brian Murphy, Tommy Lynch, Liam Poff, Patrick Dowling, Gary Savage, Brendan Poff, Fergal O Brien, David O Callaghan, Kieran Hurley, and Eoin Greaney
