A FOOTBALL team from Philadelphia joined forces with St Pats GAA for a parade over Blennerville bridge to mark the beginning of Féile 2016.
St Pats Football Club in Blennerville are hosting the Delco Gaels all the way from Philadelphia for the tournament which takes place this weekend.
The parade took place on Thursday evening where a bagpiper led both teams as well as other juvenile members, across Blennerville bridge and into Corca Dhuibhne and even the rain couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of those present.

The parade was followed by a barbecue with music at Keane’s Bar in Curraheen and set the scene for what is hoped will be a weekend full of football, fun and forging new friendships.
An estimated 70,000 people who will visit Kerry and neighbouring counties over the course of the annual Féile Peile na nÓg which takes place from June 24-26. Clubs in and around Tralee will be among those hosting games during the event. Scroll down for photos…
