The Square To Host A Weekly Market Starting This Thursday

THE outdoors is where you want to be in this weather (if you can stick the heat!) and if you’re in town on Thursday, the Square is well worth visiting.

Starting tomorrow and continuing every Thursday for the rest of the summer, the area will host the Tralee Square Market.

Around 12 craft, retail and food stalls will be set up and there will also be an area so shoppers can eat in the open between 10am and 6pm.

It’s a collaboration between Tralee Chamber Alliance, TasteKerry and Street Performers of Tralee (SPOT) so expect lots of great music too while you eat your ice-cream.

It is hoped to help build up footfall and trade in the town centre to encourage businesses to open later on Thursdays during the summer season.

The market continues every Thursday until August 16, so if you would like to take a space at the market email David@tralee.ie

Thank you so much to Tralee Chamber Alliance, TasteKerry & Street Performers of Tralee – great stuff.

Wonderful to see the Tralee Town Square function in the correct way after all this is what town squares were designed for!

Maybe it nostalgia? But, I recall a time when Tralee was a great town and I know I am not alone as I have heard a lot of Tralee people lament in this way too.

However, lately something has changed in Tralee. It’s a few spired people who think, organise and contribute their ideas, energy and time – they winning and we are benefiting from their success.

But, now amazing things are being organised and Tralee is reminding me of how graceful she once was.

As a native of Tralee, it makes me proud to see stuff like this in my town.
