JOHN Mitchels GAA club’s premises on John Joe Sheehy Road was broken into twice last week, with thieves taking alcohol from the bar on both occasions.

On Wednesday, June 10, at 4.30am, the window of the premises was broken, as was the window of Walter Lyons furniture shop in Boherbee, where a rock was used to smash the front window panel. Gardaí believe these incidents are linked.

However, the next night, the John Mitchels club was broken into by thieves and a quantity of alcohol was taken.

Then on Friday, June 12, at 2.10am, the club was broken into again and more alcohol was stolen.

Gardaí are appealing to the public for information if they saw anything suspicious on those nights in the area, to contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.
