IT’S emerged that Tralee is the second worst offender in the country for not paying the TV licence fee.
According to a story in The Irish Times, more than 16,000 summonses were issued nationally last year for non-payment of TV licences.

While the majority, 9,761, of these were issued in Dublin, Tralee came second with 540 summonses issued.
Wexford was next largest with 399 summonses issued, followed by Ennis (393) and then Limerick (391).
It’s estimated that 15 per cent of people evade paying the €160 fee, costing revenue more than €25 million a year.
