Tralee To Benefit From Kerry And Cork Capital Investment Plan

THE government officially announced the capital investment plan for Kerry and Cork at an event in Cork this afternoon.

Part of the plan will see Tralee Garda Station refurbished along with along with an increase in Gardai and Garda cars in the county.

In the IT Tralee, the Kerry Sports Academy will receive €7 millon in funding.

The government has also pledged a €62 million investment for social housing across Kerry and the construction of nine new schools, which include, Gaelcholáiste Chiarrai and Listellick National School.

Minister for Public Expenditure, Brendan Howlin said the plan for Cork and Kerry would provide  “vital facilities”, such as roads, schools, health care, housing and policing.

The minster said the investment plan would create 45,000 construction jobs in the region.
